Welcome to Christ Church, Weston-super-Mare's web-site. We are
a family church with a membership of 300 people of all ages who live
in and around Weston-super-Mare.

| The Building
We celebrated 150 Years of worship from our church building in Montpelier, Weston-super-Mare
last year. It was built in
1885, and was added to in the early 1900's. More recently,
there was a major refurbishment in 1993 when the pews and choir
stalls were removed and comfortable, movable seating was installed,
along with new lighting and sound systems.
December 2005 saw the completion of our aptly named
Spire Centre extension.

| Prayer
We emphasise the importance of prayer and a close walk with
God. As well as including a time of prayer in all our
services, we hold a monthly Prayer Celebration when we meet and pray
in more depth for fellowship issues and those in the outside
world.
Our prayer chains cascade specific prayer needs by phone during
the week. Our leadership team offer prayer for healing at any
time, and after Communion services. We take the offer of
prayer support to the people of the parish by visiting each home,
road by road and offering to follow up any needs or enquiries.

| Mission Support
We take the great commission seriously. Ten percent of
our income is committed to supporting mission work in the UK and
abroad. We currently support the following missionary
organisations:
Church's Ministry among Jewish people
Overseas Missionary Fellowship
Bible Society
