We would like to introduce you to “Life”!

“Life” is the name of Weston’s new independent Christian bookshop, it is located at 13 The Centre where Living Oasis and Wesley Owen were previously. Here at “Life” we will aim to be more than a book shop. Yes we will be selling books, cards and gifts, as well as daily readings etc. But this is not our only purpose.
Life WsMWe would like “Life” to be a place in town where Christians can meet each other whether over a cup of tea or coffee, or for prayer, study groups or discussion between Christians involved in the many and varied activities which make up church life in order to encourage and build one another up (e.g. House Group, Sunday School/Children’s Club, Toddler Group, Women’s/Men’s fellowship, Youth Group… the list is endless!) We want Christians to be able to meet one another and share their ideas, dreams and visions for their area, town and life, on common ground; because we believe that everyone has something to offer in the body of Christ. If we can get together on any and all levels and share what works and what doesn’t, encouraging each other, just imagine what could happen in our churches, our town, our nation… During the day at “Life” we will be setting aside specific times for prayer in the early morning, lunchtime and before closing time at the end of the day, so that people who work in town or are just passing at these times can join with others to spend just a few moments re-focusing their mind on God. We aim to be a welcoming place for Christians and non Christians alike to meet for book clubs, study or just a place to find a friendly face and listening ear. We would also like to invite local churches and Christian charities etc to give details of where and when they meet, activities and event information to be displayed in the coffee area of the shop. “Life” opened its doors at 9am on Monday 15th August 2011 we want to encourage you to come along and find out more for yourselves over a cup of tea or coffee.   We are very grateful to all those who have been, and are, helping and encouraging us in this vision. We look forward to seeing you at “Life”!  Or visit our website! Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV) Andrew and Lydia Williams
