Come and listen at Storytellers

There is power in a story.  Jesus knew that.  And he was the supreme storyteller.  And amongst the members of Christ Church and Emmanuel we are discovering that there is a wealth of talent for writing, reading and telling stories as well as an interest in simply listening.

Most of us like listening to or telling stories.  Whether fact or fiction, stories play a vital part in helping us to understand the world in which we live.  And when we share stories we get to know each other a little better.

Sharing is what our monthly Storytellers meetings, which have been running since October, are all about.  They have been attended by between 15 and 20 people, some telling, some reading, and some just coming along to listen which is perhaps the most important part.

We aim to have something to interest everyone; fact, fiction, life stories, diaries, prayers, poems and more.  So just come along and listen.  You will be very welcome.

Our next two meetings of Storytellers are planned for Fridays the 11th February and  11th March, 7.30pm in The Spire Centre.

We’d love to see you there.
