27th July - 31st July ~ 10am – 12noon

We're off on a Polar Expedition to discover that you are never too young, too old, too hopeless.... never too ANYTHING to be part of God's Great Adventure!!

Our Bible verse is Philippians 2:13 from the International Children's Bible -

Yes, God is working in you to help you want to do what pleases him. Then he gives you the power to do it.

The truth we'll be exploring is that no matter how bad or inadequate we feel we are, God can transform us! We'll be looking at some very unlikely candidates for God's work from the New Testament and finding out how they became part of God's Great Adventure!

To enable us to run this event we need team! If you're still thinking about it....there's still a space for YOU! We need a leader, assistant and a gopher (young helper!) for each small group of children. The children spend time in their 'igloos' talking about the Bible teaching, filling out their 'Expedition Logs', eating snacks and making crafts! We have team games, quizzes and singing too! As in previous years we hope to have 8 'igloos' – so we need a big team!

Please do pray for the team as we prepare to run this outreach event. It's a big job, but well worth the effort! And pray too for the children and families that will come – may those that don't yet know Him, come to know Jesus as Saviour and those that do, deepen their faith.

The Team Training Evening will be held on Monday July 6th at 7.30pm in the Spire Centre.

Another way you can help is to collect craft items and props for us.... all items can be left in the tubs in the Baptistry (behind the curtains at the back of church)

We need:-

cotton wool balls/strips/rolls, cardboard rolls (toilet or kitchen!), Oat so Simple boxes, brown flat mushroom trays (the type you get 3 or 4 big mushrooms in), string, mini cereal boxes, lots of small empty cardboard boxes for junk modelling, small cake boxes, tea bag boxes etc. white sheets, foil, glue sticks, cellotape and dispensers (you can get these in Poundland) and any pictures from the film 'Frozen', penguins, sleighs and other polar stuff!! Anything that would help us create a Polar Frozen landscape!! The one thing we don't need this year is plastic milk bottles!

If you have children coming to Polar or Frozen Explorers, get the registration forms back in as soon as you can...See you there!
